Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John Pusateri moved to New York in 1997 to study fine arts at Syracuse University where he received his BFA (hons) in 2001. In 2004, Pusateri moved to New Zealand to undertake a Master of Fine Arts degree at the Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland. Pusateri currently teaches in the Department of Architecture at Unitec New Zealand while continuing to make his own artwork. He has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Japan, and New Zealand.

An older picture of Joe, but one of my favorites.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about Joe recently… About his sculpt, how it now feels so young for him. Like he’s grown out of the DT Hue sculpt and is now ready to be shelled in a more mature sculpt, fit to how I see him. But then I get sad, because I love Joe, who I can’t even think of as just a Dollstown Hue anymore. I don’t think I could ever get rid of him…
Having two SD-sized Joe dolls would be weird. But I think I need to do it anyways.
I love Joe. <3 I think you need to do whatever you feel is right for him. You’ll always have this one, but then you can have a new mature one too. Then we can take sweet pictures of him and Alex. XD <3
